Better: Help for Reimbursements for Out of Network Benefits

I have since learned about the awesome services of Better and I wanted to share their awesomeness (is that a word?) with you.

I am not an affiliate for Better;  I don't get any extra love or money from them.

But I have heard good things about their services so I wanted to pass along the scoop.

If you have Out of Network benefits (OON), meaning that you can see an out of network provider and your insurance company will reimburse you some money for those services, but you find it a pain in the tuchas (butt) to submit those claims yourself, please consider using this website and app to ease the process of getting reimbursed.

If they can get you $, then they charge you 10%. Not bad I think for the ease of NOT HAVING TO FILE YOUR OWN CLAIMS. I wish I had had this app eons ago when I had lots of bills for which I never sought reimbursement. I would diligently write out each line of the claim form, and find the receipt and clip, tape, or staple it onto the form. I would find an envelope, put a stamp on it, and address it. I'd even make a photocopy for my own records.

But would I send it?

Nope.

Instead, years later, when I was moving cities, I would find a stack of claim forms that I had never sent with the hundreds of dollars that I could have made back, sadly, still the pockets of my insurance company and not in my wallet. :( I think that even back then, my undiagnosed with ADHD, inattentive self could have thrived through Better's system and taken a picture of the claim and sent it through an app to get followed up on and hopefully, reimbursed.

Therefore, I wanted to let you know about this service. I'd love it if you did not have to go through the embarrassment or angst that I experienced when I realized what I didn't do some years later, after claiming (hahaha, see what I did there?!) that I had completed the process.

I've never used Better myself (see above) but I'd love to hear from people who have. Will you share in the comments if you've liked their app or their service? (Or heck, if you've hated it, please do share. I really do want to know your experience with their service.)

They provide us clinicians with cool code to put on our websites so you can find them with ease. Here it is:
