Therapy for College Students
Sometimes college just sucks. You can’t find your people… you know, the ones you were supposed to have when you decided to go here. You got in and this was not what they said it would be on the college website.
You miss your high school friends, but they are living it up and don’t have time to talk. Your family doesn’t get it, after all, they didn’t go to school and so you can’t really share why it’s not working for you after they worked so hard to get you here. You feel alone. You tried to reach out, first to your RA but she didn’t get your concerns.
You went to the counseling center, but soon learned that they were all booked up until next semester and you really can’t wait that long. Then they said that when you get in to see them, they couldn’t meet with you for more than one or two sessions… But you want someone who you can see weekly who will really listen to you!
